We are pleased to announce an exciting new opportunity for an Assistant Psychologist to work in with us in the Childrens Community Learning Disabilities Team. Our service works closely with other professionals, Social Care, School and Respite to offer support to children who are experiencing mental health problems or behaviours of concern.
Positive Behavioural Support is a major part of our treatment philosophy, and the service ethos is to ensure that effective, evidence based interventions are provided to children who present considerable risk, to support them to remain in their own home and education setting whilst contributing to improvements in their quality of life.
Work as part of the Children's Community Learning Disabilities Team: functionalised multi-disciplinary teams which create and deliver specialist plans/interventions to support children and young people with a Learning Disability and their families/carers.
All members of our multi-disciplinary team receive excellent support, good quality supervision and opportunities for continuing professional development. There are good links with psychological services across the Trust, with opportunity to attend Special Interest Groups across specialities and an annual psychology conference.
Candidates with experience of working within a range of clinical settings including Mental Health, Social Care and Learning Disabilities are welcomed. We support continuing professional development and offer training and regular supervision within these roles.
