Position Overview
This role gives you the opportunity to work with a global, cross-functional team as a core member of our growing company. We are looking for a driven Commercial Partnerships Lead who will report into the VP of Digital Operations whilst building and managing key supplier relationships. This role is essential to achieving our continued international growth and you will drive BibliU's growth initiatives by collaborating and strategising in conjunction with our suppliers, in order to ensure that the BibliU platform can best serve our University customers.
What you will be doing:
1. Account management of BibliU’s commercial publisher partners
2. Build relationships, communicate efficiently, and strategise with commercial partners in order to enable BibliU’s strategic direction
3. Pitch new business models and revenue streams to commercial partners in order to sign commercial agreements
4. Negotiate with commercial partners to secure pricing and terms that maximise our margins
5. Enable business development by signing distribution agreements with new commercial partners to help us achieve 100% booklist coverage across all partner universities
6. Understand and articulate value propositions of BibliU's platform and services to commercial partners, including platform demonstrations and feature Q&A sessions
7. Handle our repository of commercial partners’ contracts and consulting internal and external stakeholders
8. Analyse content usage and sales trends from platform data in order to present valuable insights and strategic recommendations to top commercial partners
9. Liaise cross-functionally with various departments at BibliU, including Sales, Customer Success and Product teams, to ensure the needs of all external stakeholders (both commercial partners and universities) are being met both timely and efficiently
10. Represent BibliU in global industry conferences as required (London & Frankfurt)
11. Deliver operational needs to commercial publisher partners, such as weekly/monthly reporting covering adoption and commercials
What we are looking for:
1. Excellent commercial acumen and relationship building skills
2. 4+ years experience in consulting and/or a growing tech company
3. Presentation and sales skills, able to articulate a value proposition to senior stakeholders and negotiate commercial terms
4. Extremely organised with strong attention to detail
5. Effective communicator, able to work with a remote team
6. Self-motivated and able to prioritise workload and manage time effectively
7. Know-how and confidence to speak with external stakeholders, including senior publishing executives (C-Suite etc)
8. Experience with Google Sheets, CRM databases such as Salesforce, and project management software such as ClickUp
