In this role, you will be at the heart of decision-making, providing analysis that empowers business unit owners to drive revenue growth and manage costs effectively. You will lead the forecasting process, ensuring accuracy and delivering insightful variance analysis, while developing compelling commentary and management reports. Acting as a trusted advisor, you will collaborate closely with segment leaders, becoming their go-to finance expert and tailoring reports to meet their specific needs. As the vital link between stakeholders and key functions, you will ensure smooth communication and efficient implementation of updates, making a real impact in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. Some of the awesome things you’ll be involved with: Helping the business to understand how much revenue it generates in the UK, and from which products/clients Working collaboratively with the business and the Financial Control team to ensure revenue is accurately recorded Working collaboratively with the business and the Financial Control team to understand the key cost drivers within the Business Unit and how they align with income Interface with the business at all levels to deliver budgets, forecasts and strategic plans, driving an optimal yet realistic target Interface with the Global team in Australia to explain assumptions and status Building relationships between the finance function and the operational teams within Iress Delivering required data and evidence throughout external audit processes Close collaboration with the Financial Control team, Sales teams, Tech and Product functions Explaining variances between expected and actual outcomes Project work to discover and deliver continuous improvements for the department What you will bring: You will be a qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA) with a strong background in diverse finance functions Confidence in influencing and providing challenge to key stakeholders High standard of proficiency in Excel, experience using Google Workspace preferable but not essential Ability to work with large data sets and build capabilities to meet new reporting objectives Aptitude to learn new processes quickly and attain proficiency in bespoke systems Attention to detail, capable of identifying problems and creating checks and reconciliations Creative lateral thinker with strong problem solving skills Demonstrable, extensive experience working for a large, diverse and complex business Proven track record adhering to tight deadlines and working to high standards under pressure Strong time management skills, ability to manage own tasks and work independently Ability to demonstrate ownership on accountabilities, while maintaining high standards Willingness to question, challenge and change existing practices and processes A professional demeanour including excellent communication skills Why work with us? 8 paid days per year to extend your weekends 25 days annual leave State-of-the-art offices Free on-site gym in our Cheltenham office open 24/7 Casual dress, flexible work policy Access to learning and development programs through LinkedIn 3 days’ leave per year for charity initiatives Starting school leave - 8.5 days of leave to assist your kids with the transition to school Life Insurance & Private Medical Up to 26 weeks’ paid parental leave for primary carers (up to 4 weeks for secondary carers), and the ability to work part-time when phasing back to work.
