Cost Accounts Assistant
I am looking for a detail-oriented Cost Accounts Assistant to join a small finance team in South Cambridge. You will play a key role in supporting the Financial Controller, Management Accountant, and other non-finance department heads with costings, pricing, financial analysis, and reporting.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist in preparing costings and pricing for new and existing products.
* Support financial reporting, including weekly and monthly results analysis.
* Maintain and update financial models related to product costs.
* Work closely with Commercial, NPD, and Finance teams to provide accurate cost data.
* Ensure financial systems and records are up to date and accurate.
* Assist with month-end processes, including balance sheet reconciliations and accruals.
* Support the management accountant with the production of weekly accounts.
What we are looking for
* Experience in a finance/accounting role, ideally within a manufacturing or FMCG environment.
* Strong numerical and analytical skills with excellent attention to detail.
* Proficiency in Excel and financial systems (SAP experience is a plus).
* Ability to work collaboratively across different departments.
* Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
* CIMA/ACCA (studying or working towards) is desirable but not essential.
This role is working on site every day - Monday to Friday 8:30am – 5pm.
