Job Description
As a Maintenance Supervisor, you will oversee and coordinate the day-to-day maintenance operations of Sofitel London St James. Your responsibilities will include leading a team of maintenance technicians, ensuring that maintenance tasks are completed efficiently and effectively, and maintaining a safe and functional environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Possess a strong understanding of electrical, mechanical, and HVAC systems to diagnose and resolve issues.
Lead and supervise a team of maintenance technicians, ensuring their productivity and adherence to safety standards.
Assist in developing and implementing maintenance schedules to minimise downtime and optimise equipment performance.
Provide technical support and offer a hands-on role within the department to carry out works including plumbing, painting & decorating, carpentry, general building works, and minor electrical and mechanical engineering work.
Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and guidelines, promoting a safe working environment for all employees.
Identify and resolve maintenance issues promptly, minimising their impact on facility operations.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment inspections, and repairs.
Coordinate with external contractors and suppliers to ensure timely completion of maintenance projects and competitive pricing.
Carry out administrative duties including record-keeping with regard to the team, PPM updates, contractors (management), and financial, statutory, and non-statutory requirements within the department and hotel.
Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement changes to enhance efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
Qualifications
* Experience in maintenance management or supervision, preferably in a Hotel environment
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Entitled to work in the UK
