You will need to have a Full UK driving license, however, access to your own vehicle is not essential.
Unfortunately, this is not a position that we can offer sponsorship for, under the skilled worker route.
The role
You would be supporting a male in his late 20's named Archie, who lives in Kinson. His preferred method of communication is sign-a-long and various alternative tools, such as PECS to articulate what he wants to say and do.
* He has a carefully planned daily schedule, created to provide structure and enjoyment.
* He likes to go out in his motability car for a drive in the new forest or to the beach.
* Other days he can be having a day at home, completing puzzles, listening to music or doing some baking.
* Archie enjoys spending time with his family at the weekend and loves a takeaway for dinner, whilst watching a musical or strictly come dancing.
As a service we are always looking for new opportunities for Archie to be out and apart of his local community.
At the heart of everything we do is promoting the independence of the person we support, and ensuring we have a relaxed, empathetic and encouraging team working with us helps us achieve this.
A day in the life of a Support Worker would include:
* Sharing your skills and life knowledge with the people we support to enable good life skills and independence when living in the community
* Maintaining consistent and accurate records regarding care plans, finances, appointments and medication
* Following the support plan in plan for each person we support to enable the person to feel comfortable and happy, adapting this as required based on change in behaviour
* Providing some elements of personal care from personal hygiene prompts, helping to bath and wash, medication

Shifts will vary between 7am – 10pm Monday to Sunday on a two week rolling rota with 2 days off. This role would include working alternate weekends and sleep ins (sleep ins come with an additional payment)
