Due to continuing international growth, ROVOP Inc. has an exciting opportunity for ROV Pilot Technicians, at all levels, to join us on a permanent & ad-hoc basis. We currently have a long-term project based in Brazil on a 6/6 rotation carrying out Touchdown Monitoring.
As a ROV Pilot Technician, your primary responsibility will be the piloting of the ROV, execution of ROV operational tasks, maintenance and repair of the ROV system, implementation and monitoring of technical procedures, and reporting.
Key duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
1. Must be knowledgeable and experienced with the ROV control, navigational, and propulsion systems.
2. Assist in the launch and recovery of the ROV system.
3. Ensure that the ROV and all its systems are in complete working order and in compliance with all technical requirements throughout the contract period.
4. Conduct the dive in accordance with recognized operating procedures to carry out designated work safely and efficiently.
5. Undertake navigation and observer duties, including log keeping, and operating manipulators and ancillary equipment fitted to the ROV.
6. Assess weather conditions and operational parameters for safe ROV operations.
7. Pilot ROV independently and in various environmental conditions.
8. Complete and submit written operational/technical reports at the end of each offshore cycle relating to all aspects of the project and technical repairs conducted.
9. Maintain working knowledge of third-party tooling and sensors and be able to integrate and fault find accordingly.
Successful candidates will have experience in the operation of one or more of the following:
1. Schilling HD/UHD systems.
You will also hold a valid competence certificate (in line with IMCA guidelines), BOSIET, and offshore medical. Preference will be given to candidates also holding valid HV certification, a second passport, and valid seaman’s certification/books.
