Our People Operations team are growing and we are looking for a People Partner to join us and provide an impactful, high-quality strategic service to your business area. You will ensure actions are aligned with our policies and cultural values, drive achievement of commercial business objectives while ensuring customer needs are met.
Key roles and responsibilities
Deliver an impactful People Partnering Service
1. Deliver a strategic People Partnering service to your area and to the business focused on impactful contribution and value-adding activity to underpin business strategy and goals., change management, improving absence, attrition, spotting talent, performance management, working with talent acquisition and development.
2. Design and develop strategic People Plans aligned to the business and corporate strategic priorities.
3. Work with the People Partnering network & People Services Centres of Excellence to ensure an integrated and joined-up approach of activity in support of your business area.
4. Provide expert consultancy to support/accelerate the achievement of business plans & objectives through defining and remedying people related challenges, risks, barriers and gaps
5. Continuously improve and develop own skills and capability, and support stakeholders to develop and implement performance management strategies.
6. Support your business area to help drive improvement in employee engagement that has a positive impact on morale, retention, productivity and the Great Places to Work results.
Develop and maintain productive stakeholder relationships.
7. Build and maintain productive relationships with leaders within your area and other stakeholders to become a trusted partner.
8. Demonstrate credibility and competence to enhance stakeholder confidence of the People Partner network, providing a platform to consult, advise and influence in the development of commercially impactful change/improvement
9. Develop a good understanding of the stakeholder business area and support the delivery of business objectives, priorities and plans from a people perspective
10. Act as an ambassador for the People Services function and custodians of its culture, embedding Admiral’s culture with our leaders and colleagues ensuring that we uphold the four pillars of “Communication, Equality, Reward and Recognition and Fun.” Influencing the business to follow our lead in living and breathing Admiral’s culture and values.
Provide Insight
11. Provide diagnostic skills (including from use of data, metrics and other insight) to develop proposals that facilitate the achievement of local area plans and organisation goals
12. Use people data effectively to make informed business decisions and forecast longer term business needs and trends
Skills and Experience we are looking for
13. Generalist HR Experience in a demanding fast paced generalist role
14. Working knowledge of Employment Law and of current HR best practice, trends, and changes.
15. Demonstrable experience of managing projects, change initiatives and as change champion.
16. Proven ability to develop and effectively manage relationships with stakeholders.
17. Experience supporting management with employee engagement initiatives.
18. People management, including coaching and developing others.
19. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with all levels of the organisation.
20. Demonstrates Admiral’s values, treating colleagues equally and fairly with kindness and respect.
21. Proactive and emotionally resilient.
22. Ability to lead and motivate others.
23. Emotionally intelligent, adapts communication style to the audience to achieve best outcome.

27. BP model background (not essential)
28. Chartered CIPD or equivalent (not essential)
