As the Accounts Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the financial operations of the organisation. This position requires a strong understanding of accounting principles and experience with various accounting software. The Accounts Assistant will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing invoices, and assisting with day-to-day financial tasks.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist in the preparation and maintenance of financial records and reports.
* Cash Book control and forecasting receipts and payments.
* Petty cash reconciliations.
* Assist with month-end journals and reconciliations.
* Customer accounts reconciliation.
* Prepare invoices, process payments (in different currencies), processing timesheets and expenses.
* Perform data entry and ensure the accuracy of financial information.
* Balance sheet reconciliations.
* Utilize Excel for data analysis, creating spreadsheets, and generating financial reports.
* Support the finance team with ad-hoc tasks and projects as needed.
Skills and Experience
* Previous experience within an Accounts role.
* Hold AAT Level 2 or equivalent.
* Experience running month-end journals and reconciliations.
* Experience dealing with balance sheet reconciliations.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Ability to prioritise work in a fast-moving environment.
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial reporting.
* Excellent organizational and time management skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Specific Qualifications
* Hold AAT Level 2 or equivalent.
