Cost Controller

Description
We are looking for a Cost Controller to join our growing team. You’ll be joining Soben at an exciting time, playing a key role in helping us achieve our ambitious growth targets. Supporting one of our key Construction clients in the region, you will be responsible for developing and implementing key procurement and commercial strategies across a range of projects in our business.
This role includes:
* Forecasting and Budgeting of Projects on a Monthly basis for the Lifecycle of a Project
* Management of Staff Costs & External Costs (e.g., Studies and Consultants)
* Maintenance of Value of Work Done (including Actuals, Accruals and Prepayments)
* Ability to collaborate with Project Teams to ensure this data is accurately obtained
* Ability to collaborate with Estimators to ensure up to date Estimates at Completion
* Time Management and Planning skills to meet the above requirements with strict deadlines on a high volume, low value portfolio.
* Advanced Excel ability as the above is completed in Excel with migration currently occurring to Oracle EPM Cloud.
* Ability to run mini-competitions for scopes such as studies, surveys, and investigations (Desirable).
* When preparation of Gate 1 deliverables commences, the Project is handed over to the delivery team. This will require:
* Ability to package documents and summarise existing Procurement & Commercial documents to Delivery Team Contract Manager
* Reporting to Team Leads of upcoming handovers to allow for resource planning
About you
* Cost Control Experience
* Collaboration experience with Project teams including Project Management, Engineering, Environmental and Land disciplines
* Collaboration experience with Procurement and Commercial Management and Team Members
* Advanced Microsoft Excel ability
Desirable Skills and Experience:
* Oracle EPM Cloud Experience (specifically Oracle Enterprise Planning and Budgeting Cloud Service)
