Outline of the role You will be primarily involved in the daily inspection of the quality of the work completed onsite. Alongside the site you will initiate continuous improvements to ensure the project is delivered on time and within budget. This will ensure the customers expectations are met, whilst aligning the activities within the industry standards. Project outline The 15-turbine site is in East Ayrshire and when built, Enoch Hill will be capable of producing up to 70MW of electricity. The main site covers an area of approximately 1,468 hectares and contains several minor tributaries which drain in a north/northeast direction into local burns and ultimately into the River Nith which drains the catchment. We are responsible for the design construction and testing of all civil infrastructure works except for the design of the turbine generator bases. Ahead of starting construction, we were responsible for preliminary works, which included additional design and provision of documents to support the successful discharge of planning conditions. As a Senior Engineer you will be responsible for Manage site engineers and support the Site Agent and supervisors with the day to day running of the site Support the site agent to deliver exemplary health, safety, environmental and quality performance Responsible for quality control, understanding of specifications, and DWI requirements. Provide engineering support to ensure technical problems are overcome and technical queries are answered Take a proactive approach to resolving any unexpected technical difficulties and other problems that may arise Responsible for providing and maintaining setting out and dimensional control, to ensure accurate construction of the work Required Skills and Experience Educated to degree standard in Civil Engineering or equivalent You should have demonstrable (5 years) of experience of being part of a large-scale infrastructure programmes of work ideally within the water sector. Ability to plan ahead and effectively delegate tasks to the engineering team. An appropriate and valid CSCS / CSR card Sound knowledge of latest building regulations, legislation and Health and Safety Working knowledge in Microsoft Office packages Full Manual UK driving license essential Good communication skills (verbal and written) and able to engage with all stakeholders at all levels Excellent attention to detail and meticulous planning and organizational skills What we can offer you Our employees are at the core of everything we do.
