Freightserve recruitment are looking for a Global Pricing Specialist for a well-established Freight Forwarder based in the Heathrow area. Job Description:- Develop, analyse trends, and implement pricing strategies to facilitate growth on existing and prospective business opportunities across all transport modes. Completing quotes, RFQ’s documents for our internal and external customers as well as supporting our overseas network partners. It will be imperative that the Pricing Specialist works closely with all divisional offices and departments to ensure we maintain client retention, in conjunction support our sales teams to convert new business in accordance with company strategies, resulting in increased overall revenue. Duties:- Manage and oversee all incoming pricing requests to convert business through accurate, effective, and timely submission. Maintain mail boxes under your control. Ensure that any quotes accepted comply strictly with our terms and conditions and accounting practices Manage and follow up all quotes to obtain feedback to measure, analyse and circulate to the commercial Manager, Suggesting & adjusting pricing where possible to ensure we secure business. Monitor won / loss quote follow upon a weekly basis and ensure that we maintain our profit and loss data to analyse ongoing. Take financial responsibility for both costs and revenue on each quote, ensuring Company strategies are maintained. In the case of lost quotes,look to improve conversion rates and profit margins through more strategic pricing initiatives. Follow up on Sales leads, updating CRM and logging sales actions as follow up, adding as new prospect where required. Price comparison analysis on key trade lanes, escalating partner performance to the Commercial Manager Request credit checks on new business, ensuring new customer details are logged on the relevant system, accounts teams made aware of new clients and relevant documents are in place to open an account. Monitor carrier websites and notifications. Maintain a high level of awareness of market conditions as well as fluctuations in rates and charges. Escalating changes to the Commercial Manager ensuring tariffs are maintained and shared to relevant departments. The successful candidate will possess the following key requirements:- Industry and operational Multi modal knowledge of Airfreight, Seafreight, Road freight- inbound & outbound including cross trade Strong team player, with ability to work independently when required Good analytical skills High level of commercial understanding Dangerous Goods knowledge Good communication, including ongoing negotiation skills Enthusiastic,flexible,and self-motivated Ensure good time management As an agency we are fast becoming the number one Freight specialist in the UK.
