My Client, a well-established law firm in Newcastle, is looking to recruit an experienced Legal Secretary to join their Real Estate team.
Main Duties:
1. Maintain fee earner diary / be aware of fee earner's day to day commitments.
2. Preparation of inward and outward post.
3. Alert and agree with fee earner any changes in circumstance and priority with regard to workload.
4. Preparation, submission and downloading of property searches using TM Property Searches.
5. Preparation and submission of Stamp Duty Land Tax forms using the SDLT website.
6. Produce / assist in the completion of monthly bills.
7. Use precedents as directed and delegated by fee earner to prepare and draft documents as directed and supervised by fee earner.
8. Facilitating / organising room bookings, accommodation, and travel tickets.
9. Facilitating/organising the booking of telephone conference calls and video conferences.
10. Provide fee earner with fast and accurate typed material.
11. Maintain efficient filing and administration system that allows for prompt retrieval of information and material.
Skills Required:
1. Be fully conversant with all Microsoft Packages to an advanced level.
2. Be fully conversant with the firm's document management system.
3. Be proficient in document preparation including house style, schedule levels, stripping out and re-formatting documents, table of contents, formulas, track changes, document comparison packages.
4. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
5. Be self-motivated, able to work to own initiative as well as part of a team.
6. Experience within Real Estate is preferred but not essential.
