As a Saturday Assistant Volunteer you will:
1. Be welcomed, trained and supported by the Saturday Assistant
2. Share the Meeting and Greeting role and all other duties with the Saturday Assistant
3. Have an opportunity to meet a wide range of people
4. Help to befriend and make new people feel welcome
5. Be a valued member of The Stuart Low Trust team
6. Be offered a snack and drink whilst you are volunteering
7. Be invited to regular volunteer get-togethers
8. Have individual regular supervision and support
9. Be eligible for a reference from The Stuart Low Trust

Skills & Attributes:
1. Willingness to be part of a team
2. Ability to arrive punctually and share the role with the Saturday Assistant
3. Meet and greet participants attending the Saturday project
4. Befriend new participants who have not attended before, so they feel welcomed
5. Ensuring Health & Safety procedures are in place by asking all attendees to sign in
6. Assist in serving teas, coffee and a snack to participants
7. A mature, courteous and professional disposition
8. An awareness of mental health issues
9. It would be desirable to have previous volunteering experience, but not essential
10. A sense of humour and an ability to stay calm and centred
11. Willingness to abide by The Stuart Low Trust Code of Conduct
