Finishing Manager - Construction & Refurbishment\n\nMain Contractor\n\nNew Build / Refurbishment / School / Fast Track / City Centre\n\nBirmingham\n\nTemporary Role\n\nThe Company\n\nOur client is a successful construction main contractor who work nationally from their East Midlands base. They are looking to appoint a Finishing Manager to join one of their projects and assist in the finishing of a school refurbishment project in the Birmingham area. Their success has led to a sharp increase in turnover. The Company has the aim to continue with their growth over the coming financial year.s They have developed an excellent reputation for themselves in market sectors including: Student Accommodation, Education, Commercial and Residential.
They are an entirely relationship driven business and pride themselves on the fact that over 70% of their workload is negotiated with existing clients that they have built relationships with.\n\nThe Finishing Manager Role\n\nThis role could be suitable for a Site Manager or Assistant Site Manager looking to work in a more dynamic environment. The successful candidate will be expected to execute the designated role to the agreed programme, in line with Health, Safety and Environmental standards expected by the client and company.\n\nThe position will be assisting the existing project manager, site manager and team with the finishing of a site in Birmingham that will run for a minimum of 16 weeks. The project is the refurbishment of a school.\n\nIt is expected that the successful applicant will be capable of assisting with the running of the project on a day to day basis working with a Site Manager and visiting Project Manager.\n\nAs the Finishing Manager you will be responsible for the finishing works in the delivery of the project with both construction and fit out elements from inception to completion, generally valued up to £10million.\n\nResponsibilities include:\n\nFinishing the project on site\n\nSnagging and entering the data on the relevant software\n\nAssisting with the build program\n\nSome inductions if required\n\nManaging Health and Safety\n\nWorking closely with all sub-contractors to ensure projects finish on time.\n\nLiaising on all levels to ensure effective communication is always maintained.\n\nThe ideal candidate will have previously managed finishing works within the construction and refurbishment sectors, experience of constructing care homes, schools, hotel, student accommodation, commercial, and PRS apartment schemes is beneficial. \n\nAs the Finishing Manager, you will be required to be a self-motivated individual who is autonomous in your role, whilst being able to drive subcontractors.\n\nIt is essential that you hold SMSTS or SSSTS, CSCS Black Card, Asbestos Awareness and First Aid certificates. \n\nRemuneration:\n\nDependent upon experience, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to earn up to £230 - £250 per day DOE.\n\nPlease apply with an up to date CV\n\nContact – (url removed) | (phone number removed)\n\nWe act as an Employment Agency/Business with regards to this vacancy.
