We are looking for someone who is approachable and warm and able to connect with the young adults we support at our mental health service in South Manchester. This person will support service users to develop their skills and knowledge so that they can go on to live more independently in the community. This individual will also support the young people at the service to sustain their tenancies through encouraging them to develop their independent living skills and helping them to navigate any tenancy related issues. The successful candidate will have the ability to identify areas that a service user needs support with, work with them to devise an individual support plan for their placement, and support the young person to implement this plan.
This person will be comfortable working collaboratively and creatively with tenants. They will also be non-judgemental, able to relate to the issues that young people face, have a laid back approach, be a good listener, be able to use their initiative, and be comfortable lone working and alongside others.

The service is situated in Wythenshawe South Manchester, with good transport links and a range of local amenities close to the service. Bus services and metro links are within a few minutes walking distance.
Experience of providing care and support to individuals with mental health needs is desirable but not essential. We value a desire and commitment to work alongside young people, promoting positive change in their lives and helping them to achieve their aspirations.
