About the role (External) Our Shared Services team delivers specialist processes that have a direct impact on the performance of Network Rail, our customers, and suppliers. These services include payroll, recruitment and onboarding, payables, receivables, financial accounting, reporting, controls and compliance, and helpdesk support. Salary Band: Band 6 £22,932.00 Hours: Full time - 35 hours per week Contract Type: 6-month Fixed Term Contract with hybrid working opportunities 2-3 days a week. This role is responsible for the administration of data changes in the shared service centre, assisting in the delivery of local key performance indicators and service level agreements within Network Rail Shared Services in accordance with statutory, regulatory, contractual, customs & excise, and group policies and regulations. Main Responsibilities Deliver a right-first-time administration service focused on data changes which include setting up new starters, leavers, and promotions to ensure employees are paid correctly and accurately. Ensure quality administrative outputs to prevent rework and ensure data compliance, ensuring employees are paid correctly in line with their terms and conditions. Consistently apply administrative duties, particularly related updates regarding amendments to an employee’s record and changes to employee’s personal information Take personal ownership for activities allocated, be aware of related measures, and work with others to achieve team key performance indicators. Operate within the pre-agreed control framework, consistently reviewing for adherence and implementing improvements where necessary. Develop and continually improve relationships with key stakeholders, ensuring a customer-centric approach. Support the Network Rail Better Day Everyday initiative by identifying areas of potential improvement at the daily & weekly focus groups. Foster a culture of operational responsibility, promoting personal ownership for delivery. What would the ideal candidate have? Confidence and proficiency with Excel. Exceptional customer focus/engagement. Proven administrative and analytical skills. Experience of delivering continuous improvement. Excellent communication skills. What could set you apart? Occupational knowledge of subject areas Working towards or educated to degree level or equivalent.
