What we are looking for:
The key to our success is our people. We are recruiting for the role of Sales Administrator, that has experience in the hydraulics, industrial, or engineering sectors. The successful applicant will primarily be responsible for providing outstanding customer support.
You should be an enthusiastic and ambitious professional with strong verbal and written communication skills. A team player with the ability to multi-task, prioritise workloads, and stay organised in a fast-paced environment, you will have a keen eye for sales opportunities and the ability to provide product recommendations tailored to customer needs.
The Sales Administrator Role
As part of the team, you will deliver first-class customer service to prospects, new clients, and existing customers. Your role involves assisting customers with advice, identifying and solving their challenges, sourcing products that meet their specifications, managing the order and purchase process, as well as supporting the branch with a number of administrative responsibilities.
Basic hours of work are 8:00 am to 5:00 pm Monday to Thursday and 8:00 am to 4:30 pm on Friday (39.5 hours a week).
Key Responsibilities:
1. Handle customer enquiries efficiently via telephone, email, website, and live chat.
2. Process incoming customer orders and ensure accuracy within agreed timelines.
3. Utilise upselling techniques to promote related products and maximise sales opportunities.
4. Help support the company’s sales pipeline plan.
5. Provide guidance and recommend products that match customer specifications.
6. Prepare quotations and proactively follow up within set timeframes.
7. Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely order fulfilment.
8. Gather and report customer feedback to enhance business processes.
9. Undertake administrative responsibilities as assigned by the line manager.

Experience & Qualifications:
1. Previous customer service or sales experience preferred
2. Background in engineering, hydraulics, industrial, or pneumatics is desirable
3. Experience in a fast-paced sales environment is beneficial
