Project Manager
Melksham (Hybrid, with UK-wide travel)
£40,000 – £50,000 + Car Allowance
This is your opportunity to take ownership of exciting, complex projects — either managing a large multi-site programme or several key client sites — and help shape the technical environments of tomorrow.
About the Role
As Project Manager, you’ll report directly to the business line Director and take charge from purchase order to project completion. You’ll be both the planner and the problem-solver — managing teams/sub-contractors, coordinating resources, ensuring safety compliance, and delivering excellence on time, on budget, and beyond expectations.
You’ll be the linchpin between clients, suppliers, contractors, and internal teams, ensuring seamless delivery and top-tier quality. This role offers variety, autonomy, and the chance to make a genuine impact on every job.
Key Responsibilities
* Own and deliver projects from PO stage through to handover
* Prepare project scope, documentation, risk plans, and health & safety files
* Plan, schedule, and manage resources using tools like MS Project
* Lead pre-start meetings and project progress reviews
* Act as primary site contact for clients, contractors, and suppliers
* Track budgets, manage procurement, and control variations
* Supervise and ensure on-site quality and safety standards
* Provide cover on-site and handle handover documentation
What We’re Looking For
* Proven leadership in project or programme management
* Strong experience in M&E, datacentre, telecoms, or interiors contracting
* Confident communicator with excellent planning skills
* Health & Safety knowledge (SMSTS/First Aid required)
* Commercial mindset and problem-solving attitude
* IT literate (MS Word, Excel, and ideally MS Project)
* Willingness to travel and stay away when needed
Bonus Points For:
* HNC or above in Mechanical/Electrical discipline
* IOSH, NEBOSH, 18th Edition or Test & Inspection qualifications
* Experience in specification/design/estimating M&E systems
What you can expect:
Due to the nature of work for some of the clients, there will be a requirement to undertake security clearances.
Our client works nationally and the role may involve periods of staying away Monday to Friday, hotel accommodation & subsistence will be provided.
