Well-regarded Employment team in Bristol is seeking to recruit an Employment lawyer of 2 or more years’ PQE. The team has a strong reputation in the south-west England market, acting for a stable of significant financial services, healthcare and commercial clients and household name corporates, as well as clients in the public and independent health sectors. The successful candidate will undertake a busy and varied caseload and work will include complex discrimination, whistleblowing and breach of contract litigation (Employment Tribunal and High Court) under appropriate supervision (depending on your level of PQE).
You will also assist on non-contentious projects including restructures (redundancy and TUPE) in the UK and across multiple jurisdictions, as well as general employment advisory work by telephone and email. Taking an active role in supervising the work of, and assisting in, the development of trainees and paralegals will also be expected. Furthermore, there will also be an expectation to take part in and initiate marketing, networking and other business development activities in order to maintain and develop work from existing clients and potential clients.
This includes assisting with client seminars and delivering training, as well as contributing to non fee-earning activities as appropriate eg. knowledge sharing, internal training.
