General Services Manager

As a General Services Manager at Sodexo in BAE Systems Reading, you are an organised leader and a strategic problem-solver. In this role, you will ensure the efficient and effective delivery of designated services to the client organisation, meeting agreed service levels and financial targets. Your leadership will be key in maintaining high standards of compliance, safety, and operational excellence across multiple service lines.

What you’ll do:
* Oversee the delivery of services, ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental legislation.
* Act as the single point of contact for client escalations regarding service issues.
* Monitor financial performance and control costs in line with budget expectations.
* Lead and develop a team across multiple service lines, including Catering, Cleaning, and Hard Services.
* Foster strong client relationships, ensuring high service quality and customer satisfaction.
* Identify opportunities for innovation and service improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
* Ensure all statutory regulations related to workplace safety, cleanliness, and hygiene are met or exceeded.
What you bring:
* Proven experience in managing teams to deliver high-quality services.
* Strong client and customer relationship management skills.
* Financial and business acumen with the ability to manage budgets effectively.
* Knowledge of workplace safety regulations, including IOSH Managing Safely certification.
* Qualification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (preferred).
