We have an exciting opportunity for a Pharmacy Assistant to join our Pharmacy team at HMP YOI Drake Hall, a women's prison and young offender institution in Staffordshire.
Hours
The site currently offers various shift patterns - 7:30am - 6pm (including some weekends).
This position is full time, you'll receive an annual salary up to £27,195 per annum - depending on experience.

Candidates are required to have a legal right to work in the UK and due to the nature of the role, offers of employment will be subject to additional vetting and security checks.
Main duties of the job
As a Pharmacy Assistant, your responsibilities will vary. You will:
* Complete general dispensary duties and stock management.
* Work as an active member of the Pharmaceutical team to ensure delivery of the pharmaceutical service.
* Provide a timely and efficient service to the prison wings.
* Receive prescriptions and stock returns from wing-based clinical areas.
* Collect orders from suppliers from the Main Gate and arrange collection of returns.
* Participate in dispensing of prescriptions.
Qualifications required
* NVQ Level 2 in Pharmacy Service Skills/equivalent or working towards.
* Medicines handling experience desirable but not essential.
* Level 2 English and Maths or equivalent.
* A non-judgmental and compassionate approach.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Good IT skills and IT literacy.
* Ability to work within a busy environment.
* Ability to work unsupervised whilst following policy and procedures.
