Job Description
An exciting and rewarding opportunity has arisen for an experienced and ambitious individual to join our transport team at our Evesham Depot in Worcestershire.
Key Responsibilities
* Coordinate daily transport and logistics operations, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries.
* Liaise with suppliers, hauliers, and customers to schedule shipments and resolve any delivery issues.
* Monitor and track shipments, proactively addressing delays or disruptions.
* Manage all relevant documentation, including invoices, delivery notes, and compliance paperwork.
* Ensure all logistics activities comply with health and safety regulations.
* Work closely with internal teams, including sales, procurement, and warehouse staff, to optimise the supply chain.
* Respond promptly to customer queries related to deliveries and logistics.
Skills & Experience Required
* Previous experience in a logistics, supply chain, or transport role, preferably within fresh produce or FMCG.
* Strong organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
* Excellent communication and negotiation skills to liaise effectively with suppliers and customers.
* Proficiency in logistics software, Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook), and data management.
* Knowledge of transport regulations, food safety standards, and industry compliance.
* Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
* A proactive and adaptable approach to problem-solving.
