SEN Teaching Assistant - Stoke

- Salary: £80 - £95 per day (depending on experience)
- Contract: Full-time, part-time, and contract options available
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive and inclusive school in Stoke. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about helping children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) reach their full potential. You will work closely with teachers, providing 1:1 and small group support, creating a positive and engaging learning environment.
- Support students with SEN on an individual and group basis
- Assist in delivering tailored lessons to meet individual needs
- Help students develop social, emotional, and academic skills
- Promote a positive and inclusive classroom environment
- Support teachers in implementing and monitoring Individual Education Plans (IEPs)
- Maintain records of student progress and liaise with parents and staff
- Provide personal care support where required
- Adhere to safeguarding and child protection guidelines
- A Level 3 qualification or at least 6 months of experience in an educational setting
- Experience supporting children with SEN
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A sound understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures
- Patience, empathy, and the ability to work proactively with students who may exhibit challenging behaviour
- The ability to work both independently and as part of a team
