A key member of the Branch Merchandising team, the Trading Assistant Merchandiser supports the department by optimising trade performance to maximise sales and profit. This role offers a great opportunity to develop your career in merchandising as part of a dedicated team.
Job Title: Trading Assistant Merchandiser
Working Rota: Monday to Friday
Working Hours: 8:30am to 5:00pm, 40 hours per week.
What You'll Be Doing:
* Review weekly trade performance providing key messages to Merchandiser
* Identify areas of focus & compile action plan considering:
* Intensive Care Stores
* Seasonality
* Trading events
* Support Merchandiser in preparation for all key event planning, ensuring all store attributes are aligned with performance expectations
* Liaise with Retail and collate pre-pack data
* Compile & analyse market lessons learnt from all major trading events
* Analyse previous quarter performance at store/product level outlining key messages to Merchandiser
* Review retail feedback across markets, checking relevance & distributing to department to complete
* Attend retail conference calls and complete minutes
* Attend store visits. Create and execute an action plan to improve sales performance
* Manage store stock builds, communicating key messages that ensures stores receive seasonally relevant product and have a market relevant brand mix
* Analyse performance of trade impacts & store optimisations highlighting key trends to Merchandiser
* Investigate and answer ad hoc retail requests.

* Experience within a similar role is advantageous
* Experience within a sports/fashion retailer is advantageous
* Highly numerate and strong commercial focus
* Computer literate and ability to learn new systems
* Highly organised, good prioritisation and time management skills
* Self-motivated and a proactive worker
* Curious with a continuous learning mindset
