An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated and pro-active individual to join our Radiology Assistants Team. We pride ourselves in our professionalism and provide a supportive environment to learn new skills.
Duties include getting patients ready for examinations, clinical tasks and assisting our Radiographic Team in ensuring patients are put at the heart of what we do.
Having your own car/transport is essential for this role as the successful candidate will be expected to work across 3 sites around the beautiful New Forest area.
Main duties of the job
Previous experience is desirable but not essential, if you are caring, methodical and a team player who wants to start a career in the NHS we want to hear from you. You will begin as a Band 2 (if no prior experience). Progression to Band 3 will follow the successful completion of all training and sign off the specific job responsibilities. This will likely take between 4-6 months. Progression to Band 3 will be effective from formal sign-off.
The successful applicant will be based at Lymington New Forest Hospital and rotate through our community sites at Romsey and Hythe, as necessary, following an appropriate induction period.
Lymington is a busy, community hospital facilitating local GP services, on site clinics, theatre cases, ward work and supports the privately run Urgent Treatment Centre. Being a CDC (Community Diagnostic Centre) and in addition to plain film services, Lymington has fluoroscopy and DXA scanning suites with CT, MRI and Ultrasound facilities. At Romsey and Hythe, plain film and ultrasound services are offered.
As a team player, you'll be able to prioritise your work in order to meet deadlines and have a customer focused approach. Multi-tasking and quick thinking at times will be crucial for this role and you will need to be prepared to be on your feet for long periods of time. A high level of confidentiality is essential.

Qualifications
* ESSENTIAL -3 GCSE at grade 'C' including English. Or Functional skills equivalent.
* ESSENTIAL - Driving License / Own Transport. If you are not able to drive due to a disability or long-term health condition, please get in touch
* Able to Demonstrate knowledge of Senior Healthcare Worker role and responsibilities.
