Quantity Surveyor - Planned and Reactive Maintenance
Location: Manchester - Hybrid
Salary: £35,000 - £55,000 + Company Vehicle/Car Allowance + Package
We are working with a leading Social Housing / Property Services Contractor to recruit an experienced and successful Quantity Surveyor to join their team, helping to successfully deliver a framework in Manchester. You will be working on a framework that will be running for three more years and involves both internal/external planned and responsive maintenance. This role could also suit a strong Graduate / Trainee Quantity Surveyor wanting to make a step up.
You will take responsibility, ownership, and accountability of the successful management and control of all aspects of the commercial/financial and contractual elements of the works to control and maximise the company's profitability, protect the company's legal and contractual obligations under the contract, and manage all day-to-day commercial issues.
Quantity Surveyor Key Responsibilities:
1. Managing subcontractor packages
2. Subcontractor negotiation
3. Cost value reconciliation
4. Producing cost reports
5. Subcontractor payments/processing applications for payments
6. Valuations
7. Variations
8. Final accounts
Quantity Surveyor Essential Experience:
1. Degree or other technical qualification
2. Strong commercial awareness
3. Quantity Surveying experience with a main contractor
4. Experience delivering planned or reactive maintenance works
