Our Cleaning Operatives play a vital role in ensuring our venues are clean, tidy and safe to use for all of our colleagues, members, customers and visitors. We are looking for additional team members to join us on a Casual basis, to pick up shifts during busy periods and absence cover, with availability to cover at each of our venues.
Hours, Pay and Benefits
Hours: this is a casual position where shifts will be published as and when they become available, for you to choose to accept. The majority of shifts requiring cover at the moment, are at the Newport International Sports Village.
Pay: Real Living Wage (currently £12.00 per hour)

Key Experiences and Qualifications
Essential
1. Good awareness of health and safety practice
2. Capable of working without constant supervision
Beneficial
3. Working knowledge of a variety of cleaning methods, and the use of cleaning materials and equipment
4. Knowledge and application of COSHH
5. Experience of working within customer-facing environments
6. Experience working in a leisure or theatre environment
Role Requirements
Main responsibilities include:
7. Working to a cleaning schedule in accordance with operating procedures to clean all venue areas to a high standard
8. Immediately report any defects or issues in the venue or with the equipment to the Cleaning Supervisor or Leisure Operations Officer on duty
9. Observe all regulations related to Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) and the Health and Safety at Work Act (1974).
10. Undergoing all relevant and required training
Our venues rely on the highest levels of cleanliness and hygiene, so taking pride in your work is a must.
This can be a demanding, physical role, and can be challenging during busy periods.
