Our Perrys Close site offers superb, purpose built modern residential accommodation currently for 5 adults with Autism. Our tenants participate in a wide range of activities and enjoy walks along the coast, going out for dinner, baking, working on the services allotment, cycling and chatting about there own interests as well as listening to of all kinds music The specialist staff team in situ are looking forward to welcoming a new colleague and have suggested we let you know they love a good theme night, are all friendly and eager to welcome you to the team!
If you are a positive, forward-thinking and compassionate Assistant Manager or Team Leader with proven leadership skills (don't worry if you don't have any leg warmers for an 80s theme night) then we would love to hear from you.
Tasks / Responsibilities of an Assistant Manager:
The Assistant Manager role may include but not be limited to:
• Support and deputise for the Manager.
• Ensure support teams have the skills and competences required.
• Provide coaching and mentoring to staff.
• Contribute to the recruitment, appointment, and induction of staff.
• Support with supervisions, absence management, disciplinary and grievance issues.
• Promote positive and affective team working through good communication and regular team meetings.
• Monitor training plans to ensure staff training is up to date and meets KAT mandatory training requirements.
• Ensure that appropriate person-centred support arrangements are in place.
• Undertake administrative tasks as required e.g., staff records, management returns and maintaining records.
• Monitor all financial matters relating to the service in accordance with policies and procedures.
• Liaise with external professionals, individuals and families as required.
• Ensure health & safety requirements are met within services & comply with Health & Safety Legislation.
• Plan and implement service development along with the Manager.
• Support individuals within the community in activities such as bike rides, long walks & shopping,
• Uphold their privacy, confidentially and dignity.
• Assisting individuals with personal care and hygiene
• Administering medication
• Household management tasks cooking, cleaning etc.
• Handle money to shop, going to the bank etc.
• Working with individuals who can display challenging behaviours hurting self or others, running away, throwing things, swearing, shouting.
• Working with and supporting individuals with additional needs, such as epilepsy, pica, learning disabilities.
• To form good working relationships with other members of staff across different services.
• May include lone working.
• Drive an individuals mobility car or service vehicle Manual Licence required (Optional)
