Job Summary As a Sales Development Representative, you will be responsible for prospecting, sourcing, discovering, and nurturing opportunities. You will research and identify quality targets and prospects, execute on outreach to open up conversations, and convert prospects into real opportunities. You will work hand in hand with the wider sales team to expand PubNub’s presence through consultative selling and building relationships with key executives, product managers, and software engineers. Responsibilities Identify and Qualify Prospects : Research and engage target accounts through email, cold calling, and social selling to uncover needs aligned with PubNub’s solutions. Source New Business : Use a consultative approach to understand prospect challenges and demonstrate how PubNub’s real-time platform delivers value. Collaborate Across Teams : Work with marketing, product, and sales teams to refine outreach strategies and optimize lead-generation efforts. Manage Your Pipeline : Maintain accurate, up-to-date records of prospects and activities in Salesforce, ensuring smooth transitions from lead to opportunity. Leverage Technology : Use tools like Outreach, Gong, ZoomInfo, and Salesforce to enhance productivity, manage pipelines, and improve communication. Achieve Results : Consistently exceed quotas through proactive outreach and diligent follow-up, ensuring the delivery of high-quality opportunities to the sales team. Requirements Sales Excellence : Proven track record of exceeding quotas in a technical SaaS sales role, with a minimum of 2 years’ experience in outbound prospecting and lead qualification. Technical Aptitude : Familiarity with real-time communication technologies such as Pub/Sub, Socket.io, MQTT, Firebase, or similar solutions is highly valued. Consultative Sales Skills : Ability to identify pain points, build trust, and present tailored solutions that align with customer needs. CRM Proficiency : Expertise in Salesforce for tracking activity and pipeline management, coupled with experience using tools like Outreach, Gong, and ZoomInfo. Adaptability : Thrives in a fast-paced environment, capable of prioritizing and maintaining focus amidst competing demands. Exceptional Communication : Ability to simplify complex technical concepts and communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
