As a Service Leader in our on-site Kitchens, you will be responsible for leading shifts to ensure the team is delivering the best service to our customers and ensuring brand standards are always in place. In this hands-on customer-facing role, you’ll be competent to manage a high-volume environment with a positive, can-do approach. You will be passionate about our offer and champion our producers, ensuring through your knowledgeable colleagues that our customers receive the unique and delightful experience that we are known for.
Your responsibilities will be:
1. To lead the shift to ensure the team is delivering excellent customer service and brand excellence.
2. Ensure that all daily and weekly procedures including open/close down, cash-handling, and stock management are carried out.
3. Ensure health and safety and food safety checks are carried out in line with our policies.
4. Manage the deployment of colleagues on a day-to-day basis, ensuring the right people are in the right place at the right time, including management of breaks according to customer demand.
5. Support colleagues with any customer complaints, ensuring a positive resolution.
6. Support the training of new colleagues through their 12-week induction journey, refresher, and any other relevant training.
7. Ensure that the team maintains a clean, tidy, and safe environment that is compliant with relevant legislation and internal policies and procedures.
8. Ensure that all areas are kept to the company standard throughout the shift.
9. Ensure a smooth handover of shift to the next service leader via walk around.
10. Look at the business through the eyes of our customers to spot opportunities that will bring commercial benefit.
11. Ensure day-to-day management of colleague issues (e.g., lateness, sickness) and colleague performance on shift through coaching and leading by example.
12. Implement products and standards throughout the department in line with company guidelines.
We are looking for Service Leaders who have the ability to lead and motivate a team on a daily basis in a fast-moving environment. Great communication skills and a can-do attitude are essential, as well as high standards of excellence within the delivery of quality food, customer service, and cleanliness.
Experience of leading a team in a fast-paced, high-volume catering environment would be a distinct advantage, although a willingness to learn and a positive attitude go a long way too.
