Static Mechanical Engineer - Edinburgh - Salary up to £39,000
CBW are looking for an experienced mechanical engineer to carry out planned and reactive maintenance on a static site based in Edinburgh. This is a full-time role working 37.5 hours per week.
Key Responsibilities:
* Undertake fault finding on complex medical gas systems, MTHW /LTHW pressure heating water systems, critical systems and equipment and pressurised steam systems.
* Using cause effect analysis and detailed examination to gain a solution and use of all relevant drawings and schematics.
* Carry out planned preventative maintenance, inspections, commissioning and testing in accordance with published procedures, completing all report sheets and test certificates as necessary and mark up any drawing alterations.
* Use of all relevant tools and equipment within safety guidelines as necessary for the completion of works ensuring full compliance with Guidelines and Controls e.g. Risk Assessment, Site Safety, Fire Safety, Control of Infection and Hazardous Substances.
* Work involves the use of analytical test devices, specialist tools, workshop fixed equipment, portable electrical equipment, welding equipment, emergency generators, medical gas equipment (patient use) suction units, geared drives.
Person Specification:
* Required qualifications are an appropriately recognised Mechanical/Engineering apprenticeship.
* C&G, Scotvec (SVQ3), or equivalent.
* This role includes a DS Basic check therefore ability to pass is essential.
Salary & Benefits:
* Basic salary of £35,000 with a £4,000 per annum allowance to cover reasonable absence & holiday cover.
* Monday - Friday 8am to 4pm.
* Cover 1 week in 6. Would be required to be available that week should there be any sickness in the team or holidays.
