Connex Education is working with a growing and dynamic SEN Primary School in Barking & Dagenham, recruiting for passionate and experienced SEND Teachers (QTS) to join their team full-time. This is a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated educator to work with pupils with a range of complex needs in a supportive and innovative environment.

Assignment Details

Person Specification
We are looking for an exceptional SEND Teacher who meets the following criteria:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS): Essential, with experience in SEN or mainstream schools.
* Experience with SEND Learners: Proven experience teaching pupils with SEND, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD, or moderate/severe learning difficulties.
* Knowledge of Differentiation: Ability to deliver and adapt lessons to meet diverse learner needs.
* Curriculum Knowledge: Familiarity with a range of SEND strategies and specialized teaching approaches.
* Personal Care and Physical Needs: Willingness to support pupils with personal care or physical needs where required.
* Collaboration Skills: Experience working closely with teaching assistants, therapists, and other professionals.
* Resilience and Adaptability: Patience and flexibility to handle challenging behaviors and create a positive classroom environment.
* DBS Check: A valid DBS on the update service or willingness to provide a new one.
Desirable Criteria
* Experience in using alternative communication systems, such as Makaton or PECS.
* Familiarity with strategies for managing sensory processing needs and behavior.
