Role: Network Manager - Electric Power Distribution
Salary: Up to £80,000 + Bonus + Car Allowance

We are partnering with an established Network Operator to help them find a Network Manager to oversee network operations, compliance, and asset management. This is a key role ensuring the safe and reliable operation of LV, HV, and EHV networks while supporting project delivery teams working with ICPs and contractors.
Reporting to the Head of Network Operations, this role will be responsible for ensuring the network operates efficiently, maintaining compliance with ESQCR and industry regulations, and optimising performance through maintenance planning, SCADA integration, and fault response coordination.
This is an exciting opportunity to take a leadership position within a growing IDNO, influencing network strategy, operational safety, and asset management.
The Role
We are looking for a proactive and experienced Network Manager to lead on network assurance, compliance, and operations. You will work closely with customers, developers, and contractors to maintain high operational standards across the IDNO’s infrastructure.
What will you be doing?
* Ensuring our client's distribution network operates safely and efficiently, minimising downtime and coordinating rapid fault responses.
* Developing and managing preventative and corrective maintenance schedules for substations, transformers, and cabling.
* Supporting the implementation of SCADA and data acquisition systems to enhance network monitoring and control.
* Ensuring adherence to ESQCR, HSE guidelines, and industry standards. Managing Distribution Information & Notification System (DINS) for operational communication.
* Developing and managing policies for commissioning, site test witnessing, and asset labelling to maintain compliance.
* Working with customers, developers, contractors, and regulators to manage expectations and deliver a high-quality network.
* Conducting asset condition assessments, defect trend analysis, and compiling Technical & Safety Bulletins.
* Supervising network control staff, providing training, and ensuring operational best practices.
What are we looking for?
* Electrical Engineering background with degree qualification or equivalent experience in electricity distribution or transmission networks.
* Senior or Authorised Person status in a DNO or IDNO.
* Experience managing LV/HV/EHV networks, including installation, operation, and maintenance.
* Strong knowledge of network control systems, SCADA, cyber-security, and regulatory compliance.
* Project management and leadership experience with a focus on risk-based asset inspections and operational investments.
* Excellent relationship management skills with customers, contractors, and industry stakeholders.
* Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication abilities.
* Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to various sites.
