A growing manufacturing company based in South Tyneside is looking for a Technical Support Engineer to join their team on a permanent basis.
You will be based onsite at the engineering facility in South Tyneside, working closely with the Service Manager & field engineers to provide technical support to customers and distributors.
What You'll Bring to the Team
1. A technical approach, ideally with some engineering experience to complement this.
2. A degree in an engineering discipline, or hands-on engineering experience would be a big plus.
3. Ability to follow engineering schematics.
4. Excellent customer service skills - you'll be liaising daily with customers and suppliers as a company representative.
What You'll Be Doing
1. Providing technical service support to customers across the UK and Europe - this will mainly be over the phone or email, but occasionally will involve in-person support.
2. This support could be focused on repairs, routine service, user training, or general queries.
3. Using a range of systems and documentation processes to ensure full service & repair traceability.
4. Working with the Service Manager to resolve escalated customer issues.
5. Liaising with field engineers to arrange effective schedules and confirm travel arrangements.
