Experienced CAM Programmer (hyperMILL) – Aerospace & Medical CNC Machining

OLSTRAL is a high-precision CNC machining company, certified in aerospace and medical manufacturing, based in Brașov, Romania.
As we continue to grow, we are looking to add an exceptional CAM Programmer to our team.
We are specifically seeking a highly skilled CNC Programmer from the United Kingdom who is open to relocating to Romania. Relocation assistance is provided. Alternatively, a remote or hybrid working arrangement may be possible.

* Expertise: At least 10 years of experience in CAM programming within the EU.
* Software Proficiency: Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience with hyperMILL.
* Technical Strength: A strong engineer/technician and problem solver with deep expertise in high-precision CNC machining.
* Process Optimization: Ability to develop efficient CAM programs to maximize machine performance and output.
* Machine Knowledge: Advanced understanding of CNC machines, their capabilities, and how to optimize them for high-accuracy machining.

Turning (MillTurn capacity will be extended in 2025 with 3 x additional machines)

* 7 axis twin turret (Miyano 2022)
* Swiss Type (Nomura 2022)
* 4 axis single turret (Goodway 2019, YCM 2022)
* 3 axis single turret (Hardinge)
Grinding
* Universal CNC grinding OD / ID, Polygon (Kellenberger 2018, Shigiyia 2018)
* OD grinding (Shigiya 2018)
* ID Grinding (Q Grinding 2018)
* Surface Grinding (Wasino, Z&B)
Fully equipped measuring room: 3D Measuring
Job Requirements
Following skills, qualifications and experience is required:
· At least 10 years’ experience in machining parts for aerospace & medical industry
· Strong knowledge in milling & turning applications
· Knowledge to develop advanced production process for high accuracy parts within exotic materials
· Advanced know how for CAM programming, and tooling selection for CNC machines. (know how in hyperMILL is mandatory)
· A strong background and understanding of 5 axis machining centers, and multi axis lathes should be in their abilities in order to get the most out of the machines
· Exceptional self-motivation and a pro-active confidence needed to identify and prioritize work
· Project management skills and the ability to balance short-term firefighting with long term improvement projects
· Good communication skills and the ability to produce clear, precise instructions
· Ability to work in a team or alone and unsupervised as needed
· A hands-on practical approach, ability to work with tools and machinery if required
Main duties
· Lead continuous improvement projects to improve manufacturing efficiency and product quality
· Develop technology for new projects, and lead the team to introduce in short time the products in production
· Reduce production times
· Offer technical support and rapid problem-solving skills to production and shop floor teams
· Improve Right First Time KPI and work towards a zero-defect culture
· Assist with the planning, purchase and implementation of new equipment and technologies
· Be highly involved in contributing to the entire manufacturing process, from conception through to delivery.
· Producing complex components according to requirements
· Working and measuring to very tight tolerances
· Working from and understanding engineering drawings and computer generate models and applying knowledge of materials and machining methods
