We are currently working on an Estates Business Partner (Surveyor) role with a Local Authority, partnering with the Children and Family Services to support estate management and ensure compliance with the Corporate Landlord model.

Estates Business Partner (Surveyor)
Start Date: ASAP
Duration: 3 Months Initially (likely extension)
Rate: £500 p/d inside IR35 (Umbrella)

Duties
* Act as the Property Business Partner for Children and Family Services, providing strategic property advice aligned with the Corporate Landlord model
* Ensure service property requirements are identified, reviewed, and delivered in line with corporate asset strategies and operational needs
* Support the effective management of the council’s property portfolio, including acquisitions, disposals, and estate management activities
* Liaise with internal stakeholders to ensure property use is efficient, cost-effective, and compliant with council policies and procedures
* Assist in developing and implementing property strategies that support service transformation and improve service delivery
* Monitor property occupation, maintenance needs, and lease terms to ensure compliance and best value
* Contribute to property reviews, audits, and service planning to identify under-utilised or surplus assets
* Work collaboratively with Estates, Legal, and Finance teams to ensure governance, compliance, and due diligence in all property-related matters
Requirements
* MRICS qualified (General Practice pathway preferred)
* Local government or public sector property experience
* Strong knowledge of the Corporate Landlord model
* Experience in estate and asset management
* Understanding of property legislation and compliance
* Confident communicator with stakeholder management skills
* Able to manage a varied workload and meet deadlines
* Proficient in property systems and data reporting
* Full UK driving licence (if site visits are required)
