We have an exciting opportunity for an Emergency & Urgent Care Practitioner join our Primary Care team at HMP Bullingdon, a category B prison located located near Bicester. HMP Bullingdon is a male prison with operational capacity of around 1,100.
This exciting new role as an Emergency and Urgent Care Practitioner would suit a qualified Paramedic or Emergency Care Nurse, as you will be responding to emergency and urgent care situations. You might have worked as a Paramedic, Primary Care, or in A&E, delivering emergency and urgent care.
The site currently offers variety of shifts patterns, including 07:30 - 17:30, 07:30 - 19:30, night shifts, and weekends / bank holidays.
This position is full time, youll receive an annual salary up to £47,250 per annum - depending on experience.

Main duties of the job
As our new Emergency and Urgent Care Practitioner, your responsibilities will vary. You will
6. Youll be playing an active part in the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the patient's care
7. Working as part of a team of primary care nurses, and delivering care to patients both within the healthcare centre and on the wings/ blocks.
8. Thrives on a challenge to provide high-quality emergency care and minor injury treatment to patients in both primary care and acute care needs in a prison setting
9. Performing procedures such as suturing, IV access, haemorrhage control, wound care and cardiac & CVA intervention.

Our new Emergency & Urgent Care Practitioner Will:
17. Be a qualified Paramedic or Nurse - RGN, Primary Care Nurse, A&E Nurse
18. Have professional registration - NMC or HCPC
19. Proven Experience in either: Accident and Emergency, primary care environments or minor injuries/illness
20. Excellent communication skills
21. Non-judgmental and compassionate approach
22. Be flexible with shifts and hours worked
23. Ideally, have experience within a hospital, community or prison environment
