At Gosford Community Hub, we offer day opportunities for adults with multiple and profound learning disabilities. We support many individuals who do not verbally communicate, so our staff needs to pay attention to detail and think outside the box to provide a high standard of person-centred care.
We are looking for warm, fun, bubbly, caring staff who are confident in running and planning activities that are inclusive for all in their local community. Our goal is to provide a high standard of care for everyone who accesses the service, promoting dignity, respect, and independence at all times.
Work Pattern: We have a 30-hour and 22-hour post.
This post is exempted under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act, and appointment will be conditional upon a satisfactory response to a check of police records via the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).

You’ll need:
* Patience and persistence to communicate effectively with service users.
* A willingness to work alone with service users as well as with colleagues.
* Physical ability to carry out assessed manual handling, including hoisting and pushing wheelchairs.
* To meet the practical and personal care/support needs of the individuals we support, ranging from dietary/nutrition to medication needs.
