Location: We have two opportunities for Technical Team Leader’s to join the Bioresources department at Yorkshire Water. The roles will cover the South and the North Yorkshire areas and will offer a flexible hybrid working arrangement, with an expectation of time spent working at the sites based at Blackburn Meadows or Lundwood WWTW (South role) or Esholt or Knostrop WWTS (North role), plus visiting different sites across the Yorkshire region. A full UK driving license (with no more than 6 points) is required for this role.
Work type: Permanent. 37 hours per week, Monday – Friday. Once trained, you will be expected to take part in a rotational out of hours standby rota.

Our Technical Team Leader will manage and lead a team of Engineering Professionals to ensure Engineering Regulatory Compliance and mitigate risks associated with wastewater production and treatment.
By delivering asset and operational excellence, you will strive for health and safety, regulatory compliance, operational efficiency, and business plan performance. You will manage scheduled maintenance activities and supervise contractors to ensure compliance with SHEQ policies.

* Ensure assets are safe and efficient in treating and moving wastewater.

* Manage incidents to minimize environmental and customer impact.

* Maintain effective relationships with internal customers.
* Support and review site emergency plans.

What skills & qualifications you will need:
* Experience managing a team with a track record of driving performance.
* Ability to develop effective relationships with stakeholders.
* Knowledge of H&S processes and management systems.
* Experience leading change and influencing positive culture.
* Strategic thinking skills to implement clear plans.
* Current UK driving licence (no more than 6 points) and flexibility to work across Yorkshire.
You will also benefit from having:
* Electrical, ICA or mechanical apprenticeship or Engineering degree (ONC/HNC/BTEC).
* Understanding of asset management principles.
* Experience in an Engineering/operational/strategic leadership role.
* Previous experience in Wastewater or similar utilities background.
