Job Responsibilities
* Supervise BOC and contract personnel in accordance with Permit To Work requirements and actively support the sites Safety, Health, Environment and Quality goals and targets.
* Plan and co-ordinate maintenance activities at main site and satellite locations to agreed company and industry standards.
* Supervise, control & maintain the plant in a multidisciplinary capacity to ensure all customer demands are met with minimal liquid support to meet agreed budget targets.
* Collaborate with our remote operations centre to monitor and improve the plants reliability and performance.
* Manage outsource partners and contractors for work on site and ensure compliance to BOC contractor control standard.
* Inspect and check all operating plant and machinery on a regular basis, including the diagnosis of faults on plant and machinery and provide feedback for rectification.
* Participate in maintaining the site on call system.
* Prepare the plant for maintenance and inspection as required by executing isolations and undertaking atmospheric gas analysis as necessary.
* Operate independently without direct supervision for the majority of routine and some non-routine activities.
What Makes You Great
* Minimum of a NVQ level 3; HNC in an engineering discipline such as Instrument, Electrical or Mechanical preferred, with circa 3 years working practical experience.
* Willingness to work outside normal hours as emergencies and operational needs require, including 24-hour callout coverage.
* Good base knowledge and understanding of industry and statutory standards and codes of practice, including knowledge of Permit to Work procedures.
* Basic understanding of current Health, Safety and Environment legislation; NEBOSH certificate is an advantage with some knowledge of operating chemical and process plant equipment.
* Experience and ability to provide a high standard of customer service whilst working under pressure.
