Description Job Title: Intermediate Apprentice Lifting Technician Location : Glasgow Salary: Starting from £18,018 with annual progression through the scheme duration. What you will be doing: During the Lifting Technician Apprenticeship, you’ll be trained in a range of operating equipment such as, Overhead Cranes, Pendant Cranes, Forklifts and Chainblocks. You will also be trained to sling, lift and move loads safely, following LOLER regulations. Furthermore you will complete training on rigging operations. Specific activities could include: As a Lifting Technician apprentice, you will be trained to; • move loads around site to ensure they are in correct position when required, supporting operational demands • safely utilise overhead cranes, forklifts and lifting equipment • Fleet/Sling equipment from different areas around the ship assisting the production trades, following specific lifting procedures and health and safety regulations You will gain an extensive knowledge of Health and Safety regulations, LOLER regulations, working at height, confined spaces, safe systems of work and PPE requirements, achieving our internal gold passport standard.
