We have an opportunity for you to join our dynamic physiotherapy team, working on the sub-acute ortho-geriatric and frailty wards as a physiotherapy assistant.
You will be part of a multi-disciplinary team consisting of physiotherapists, occupational therapists, nurses, health care assistants, doctors, discharge co-ordinators and pharmacists.
Experience in healthcare or rehabilitation would be an advantage; however, we welcome someone who is enthusiastic, has a strong desire to learn, and is keen to work with the physiotherapy team to provide an excellent service. We are looking for someone who likes working with people, has good communication and organisational skills, and is an excellent team worker.
Main duties of the job
You will be a key member of the physiotherapy team and will work under the supervision and guidance of trained physiotherapists and the therapy assistant practitioner, to provide exercise and mobility rehabilitation and assist with administrative tasks and information gathering.
Full training will be provided to ensure you are supported, and a competency framework will be used to ensure you have the appropriate skills to assist with physiotherapy treatments. We offer regular formal and informal supervision and in-house training.
