Our client’s portfolio includes various Military establishments in Wiltshire & Hampshire. Responsible for supporting and providing effective procurement services to the operations team and the Garrison, in accordance with company best practices. This will cover but is not limited to; planning, supplier management & development, demand & inventory planning, and supporting the operational garrison teams. This means that you’ll need to be well versed in sourcing, negotiation, and supplier relationship management. And should have proven experience in effectively communicating with all stakeholder levels. You should also be able to support supply chain activities such as supplier development plans to ensure an adequate supply chain is in place to satisfy materials, services, projects and overhead requirements, while working alongside the operational team(s) and the procurement lead(s) You’ll be working independently but will be part of a team and have regular meetings with your manager, who will be willing to support your growth and help you deliver on set tasks and goals. Qualifications & Experience: Member of CIPS (or working towards MCIPS certification) desirable. You should also have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a Procurement role, particularly at a Buyer level. Additional experience of managing Procurement activity and working alongside operational teams will also be essential, as well as having knowledge and understanding of how to use MRP systems
