Our dynamic global People team are based across Americas, EMEA and APAC. We are focused on balancing the needs of the employee and the business by building strong relationships with employees and managers, and working together to achieve business goals. We are looking for an experienced People Advisor to join our friendly and collaborative HR team. The role will be based in our Cambridge HQ supporting all people matters across EMEA. There may be a requirement to travel to our London office on occasion.
This is a hybrid role with an expectation of being in the Cambridge office 3 times a week.
What will I be doing:
In this role, you will be acting as a key HR point of contact to all employees across EMEA. You will manage relationships with key stakeholders across the business and guide and support managers on employee relations matters related to conduct and capability, grievance and disciplinary matters, absence issues, and other employee relation matters. Through the ticketing system, you'll be the first point of contact for answering general queries. You'll also be:
1. Managing the offboarding process including conducting exit interviews with leavers, identifying common trends and themes, and reporting them back to the People Operations Manager,
2. Handling administrative tasks such as writing digital letters to employees and maintaining employee files,
3. Assisting with ISO audits ensuring compliance across the business,
4. Cross-checking payroll on a monthly basis,
5. Continuously seeking ways to improve existing processes, including systems and tools to fit with evolving requests from the business to drive efficiency,
6. Managing the family leave process (maternity, paternity, adoption, SPL) with expectant parents,
7. Assisting the team with the rollout of HR projects and communications.
What experience do I need:
We are seeking a People Advisor who comes with solid experience dealing with employee relations casework. It is essential to have excellent communication skills, interpersonal skills, ethics, and cultural awareness. This People Advisor needs to be confident working independently as well as a team member on projects and tasks, and be very flexible and adaptable when managing key stakeholders. Ideally, you'll also bring with you:
1. Experience using an HRIS,
2. Experience working across multiple European countries,
3. Experience using Workday HCM.
You'll also be CIPD level 5 qualified or working towards it.
