Job Description Make your mark as a Geophysicist Year in Industry at Gardline We are looking for student Geophysicists to undertake a 12-month placement to support the processing and interpretation of shallow geophysical data and the preparation of associated reports and deliverables. Project types range from traditional site survey work to large scale offshore renewable developments. These can include specific surveys aimed at potential UXO threats, or cable route aspects of large developments. Data is acquired by our fleet of multi-role survey vessels. On board, as part of a team of Geophysicists you will QC the data making sure it is fit for purpose and carry out preliminary interpretation and reporting. Back in our office in Great Yarmouth, you will have the opportunity to help with further processing, interpretation, reporting and creating deliverables. Which will include the integration of Environmental, Geotechnical and third-party datasets providing plenty of opportunities to learn and gain valuable workplace experience. Whilst the position will be based at our offices in Great Yarmouth it also provides the opportunity to gain valuable offshore experience with an expectation of completing circa 120 days offshore during the internship period. You will need to have the right to work in the UK for the duration of the internship and be available when your 2nd year of university is complete. Full training will be provided with this placement, offering skills to build upon after graduation.
