Your Role And Responsibilities
As an experienced SAP Test Lead at IBM Consulting, you will be responsible for the testing and quality of the overall solution with emphasis on SAP Testing. You will be responsible for the technical content of the testing and for supporting the test team in applying the right test techniques and tools in all things testing.
You will be the go-to person on the team to resolve issues in test dependencies, leading test sub teams, through to the release of the project to production.
The Test Lead will report into the Program Test Manager within the overall governance framework. The Test Lead will also work hand in hand with SAP Functional Consultants to ensure the content of the testing is correct and fit for purpose within the relevant SAP modules.
You will have the ability to identify creative and complex testing solutions for SAP based systems to ensure test execution is successful across highly integrated landscapes from a system, SAP module, and data perspective.

Required Technical And Professional Expertise
* You must have demonstrable minimum 5 years in testing experience with multiple SAP testing projects evident.
* Must have at least 2 years’ experience working for a large organisation in a complex environment with a medium to large team.
* Ability to communicate clearly, listen, understand, and adapt to the audience; to ensure common understanding.
* Coordinate testing with third party vendors and support business SMEs during SIT.
* Strong experience in using ALM testing tool and ALM Defect Life Cycle management.
Key Responsibilities
* Self-initiated: Proactively apply testing techniques, test plans and test case to enforce the quality of the system to support BAU and new implementations as required of the platform.
* Project / Program-initiated: Develop test cases against the requirements and plans for their execution within the timelines specified by the initiatives.
* Support the Test Manager in building and managing the test strategy and plan as directed.
* Provide guidance to project test team members throughout the preparation and execution of the test team plan throughout the test lifecycle.
* Prepare and implement test plans so that tasks are completed on schedule.
* Review work products to enable testers to achieve quality objectives.
* Communicate plans, status, issues, and concerns through the appropriate management system.
* Provide stand-in capability, as required, for the Program Test Manager.
* Support Testing & Release Management in ensuring that the strategic goals and objectives are met, and the business benefits are realized. This could include, but is not restricted to, ensuring continuous improvement of standards and methods, working collaboratively with IBM and other suppliers to deliver successful test projects, and ensuring effective communication at all levels within the organization.
* Ensure all artifacts are in ALM so that KPI’s can be recorded and reported accurately.
* Seek opportunities for Automation integration and testing in order to introduce efficiencies and quality gains across the systems.
* Based on use cases, data consumption, and other variables, build and document short term and long-term strategy to address quality issues.
* Raise defects / issues and provide an implementation plan for their resolution by anticipating similar issues in the future and making proactive activities based on current environment and stakeholder needs.
* Develop and implement system testing strategy around standardizing the test design, development, and execution plans.
* Drive the system technical test architecture of the solution for optimal performance, working as part of a cross-functional team.
* Recommend and implement changes to overall testing approach.

* Exceptional communication skills (across variety of stakeholders including test teams, functional consultant teams and senior leadership).
* Experience in developing & delivering Test Strategy & Plans.
* Demonstrated experience in leading & successfully delivering large testing projects.
* Highly experienced in program planning, SDLC & Enterprise SAP Testing delivery.
* The ability to understand and assimilate different points of view.
* Knowledge and understanding of SAP systems.
* Detailed knowledge of one or more specific SAP modules.
* Strong knowledge of testing cycles, test tools and defect tracking processes pertinent to SAP delivery practices.
* Natural leadership skills and the ability to thrive in a collaborative culture.
* The flexibility to travel to client locations.
* Demonstrate knowledge and experience using test management tools such as Microfocus ALM, JIRA, TestRail MTM, XRAY.
* Ability to provide clear and concise reporting in relation to test preparation progress, test execution and defects.
* Ability to motivate and drive a team to succeed whilst delivering quality outcomes.
* Passion for delivering with Innovation.
* Have prior exposure working in an AGILE environments / teams using methodologies such as, SCRUM, KANBAN, XP, and exposure to supporting tools.
