The Role
We have a unique and exciting opportunity available to join the team as an Integrated Planning Specialist. This role will place you at the heart of the action, working alongside experts to deliver a global event that sets the new standard for major sporting celebrations.
As Integrated Planning Specialist, you will support the delivery of the Programme Management structures, processes and standards deployed across the Organising Company (OC) to support the programme’s planning phase and the transition to operational delivery.
This role offers the successful candidate the opportunity to support a new and innovative way in planning and delivering the Commonwealth Games, the development of optimised Games-time solutions challenging previous Games’ “norms” and supporting the OC to efficiently and effectively prepare for the Games.
In the lead-up to the Games, the Programme Delivery & Risk (PDR) team is the custodian of the ‘milestones’ of Games planning and prioritisation.
The Integrated Planning (IPL) team works collaborates across all the OC’s functions and workstreams to add value and support their planning efforts. Working with the OC’s FAs and workstreams, we will facilitate the identification of strategic priorities and oversee the programmes of work to help ensure that the OC’s preparations are focused on the right areas, at the right time.

Job Summary:
The Integrated Planning Specialist will have a proven record in delivering a full range of Programme Management services, with an ability to learn quickly and generate insight from existing information and experience. Working with the Head of Programme Delivery Office and Risk Management you will support the OC’s planning and preparation for Games time delivery.
You will be required to maintain the Master Programme Management Schedule on a digitalised platform, ensuring maximisation of automated workflows to create efficiencies. You will also be expected to engage with the OC’s Functions and Contractors to support delivery of an integrated programme ensuring effective management, tracking and reporting of progress of tasks, as identified.
Key Skills and Experience:
We are looking for an Integrated Planning Specialist who has proven experience in delivering complex programmes or events, with multiple stakeholders. Project management qualifications are desirable.
Key attributes include being an excellent communicator, thriving in a fast-paced environment, and being a strong team player.
In addition, the successful candidate should be able to build strong, meaningful relationships with key stakeholders and also be able to demonstrate experience in developing analysis and reports to support executive-level decision making, including options analysis, business case development, Board papers and presentations.
