The Company: Based in the Southeast of England our business has specialised in growing British Apples & Pears since 1947. Today we are the UKs largest top fruit producer, farming 3,400 acres of orchards that are spread across multiple farm locations and employ over 350 full time equivalent staff and 800 1,000 seasonal workers. Our family run business supplies direct to supermarket retail customers, controlling every step from the orchard to the customer, supplying 1 in 3 of all the British apples and pears produced in the UK. The Candidate The ideal candidate will have experience of working in a similar role and will support the Commercial Team in processing orders for all our customers. Excellent computer and interpersonal skills are a must, to ensure liaising with both customers and other departments within our business. The Role As Commercial Assistant you will be responsible for: Processing and updating orders for all customers. Liaising with customers to resolve order issues. Monitoring customer stock availability and requesting order increases where required. Updating the True Commerce portal with any changes to orders. Support accounts by investigating shortage queries from depots to verify debit notes. Reporting tonnages to BAP. Reporting declaration of Cameo and Rubens varieties. The creation of reports using the businesses ERP system Provide regular insights from analysis of reporting data to support the Commercial Team in revenue and sales performance management. Conducting retail customer GAP analysis. Identify product developments or new products by remaining current on industry trends, market, and competitor activity. Support the commercial team and wider business with any special projects. The housekeeping of commercial files on Sharepoint to ensure all information is always appropriately positioned and accurate. Skills Required Proven experience working in a busy Commercial environment Well organised, attention to detail, able to prioritise appropriately Able to work to deadlines, both individually and as part of a team Excellent communication skills Excellent computer skills Word, Excel, Power BI Ability to communicate (written & verbal) in English at Level B2 or higher. Salary and Benefits: Full time, permanent position Salary £26,000 to £32,000 per annum, based on a 45-hour week. 5 days per week, including either a Saturday or Sunday.
