Responsibilities Inventory Control Technician Department Description: Inventory Management and Logistic Services is part of the Data Center Operations group. The team is accountable for the inventory control, asset management, and logistic operations for Oracle Data Centers. Responsibility Description: Embody OCI Values and lead by example to deliver success in your daily duties. Ensures security and accountability of inventory through transaction documentation, process and procedure verification, and system review. Ensures import-export compliance, parts availability, and material handling compliance. Audits incoming and outgoing shipments to assure quality and accuracy. Compiles and documents all transactions for data entry. Develop positive working relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders. Specific Duties & Responsibilities: Manage purchasing of materials required by local facility Organizing and managing the storerooms Organizing the inventory and perform regular audits of datacenter equipment to ensure inventory controls are met Perform Shipping/Receiving duties and coordinate receipt. Track Vendor conformance to service level agreement for return material authorizations (RMA) Inter-Site logistics: Shipment management of Racks, parts and equipment within Oracle Ensure conformance to proper hardware handling and packaging Optimize inventory levels across local region and globally where required Monitoring inventory efficiency, championing reducing overages Endure Standards across the region are met Create, document and drive standards adoption for inventory management Establish standard storeroom design including materials utilized such as shelving, bins and tools as well as physical process control Standardize and monitor local tool kits Establish packaging and shipping standards and monitor adherence. Enforce compliance to asset lifecycle policies Monitor metrics and key performance indicators regionally, including reporting to senior leadership Manage local vendors Role includes small amount of travel. Must Have Skills/Qualifications: 3 years of experience Supporting Inventory Control, Logistics, or Warehouse Management Physically able to perform material handling tasks (moving, storing, lifting etc.) Ability to communicate in English both orally and in writing Ability to work on own initiative with minimal supervision Detail oriented, perfection focused Driven to keep things in order, things in the right places and right quantities, abhors untidiness Preferred Skills/Qualifications: Self-motivator, able to identify and develop opportunities through to completion Flexible Team player, receptive to change with a “can do” attitude Analytical with an inquisitive nature Ability to prioritize workload across wide ranging activities Basic knowledge of physical IT infrastructure and IT spare parts Good proficiency with Microsoft Office suite of applications Demonstrated experience of logistics, shipping, process and procedures in an international setting Experience with lean manufacturing methodologies such as 5S Visa Status Allowed: Not Allowed Degree/Certifications: High School Diploma or equivalent required CPIM - Certified in Production and Inventory Management preferred, but not essential Oracle is an Equal Employment Opportunity Employer.
